Please take note that you can only do the Foreign TT anytime from 10.00am to 6.00pm Malaysian time on a weekday.
Here is my guide to do that using foreign wire transfer (from Malaysia) via Maybank's online portal.
1. Log into Maybank 2u. On the upper right corner, click on
PAY & TRANSFER2. Click on TRANSFER.
3. Enter the Transfer details
Transfer From : <Choose your account to transfer from>
Transfer To : Overseas (FTT, Western Union, Visa Direct)
Country : United States
State : Nebraska
4. Right under, enter the amount your want to transfer in RM. Then choose USD in the dropdown box. Click Compare.
5. You will be given two choices. Choose Foreign Telegraphic Transfer and click on the Transfer Button.
6. In the next page, you will need to enter the sender's and recipient's details using the information provided by TD Ameritrade. Under sender's details, it will be filled automatically so just check if the information provided is correct.
7. Under RECIPIENT'S BANK DETAILS:
Recipient's Bank : WELLS FARGO BANK NA
SWIFT BIC Code: WFBIUS6SXXX
FED WIRE : 121000248
Account Number: 4123214561
Branch Address: 420 Montgomery Street
City: San Francisco, CA 94104
8. Under
RECIPENT'S DETAILS :
Nationality :
Non-Malaysian Name: TD AMERITRADE CLEARING INC.
IC/Passport : <Your 9-digits TD Ameritrade Account Number>
Recipients Address Line 1: 200 South 108th Ave.
Recipients Address Line 1: Omaha, NE 68154-2631
Country: United States
Contact Number: <Your contact number>
Email (Optional): <Your e-mail address>
9. Under TRANSFER DETAILS :
Purpose:
TRANSFER Sub Purpose: PRIVATE TRANSFER - OTHER CAPITAL TRANSFER
Transactions Fees : Sender bear the fee, additional fee..... <only one choice given>
Additional Info: <I left this empty. it would not allow me to enter my name and TD Ameritrade 9 digits account number - saying I entered this information before >
10. Click on Transfer once you have confirmed the information given is correct.
11. You will need to enter the TAC sent to your mobile. Enter your TAC and click Confirm. Once this is successful, your money will be transferred.
Take note that if your foreign TT limit is lower than the amount you are transferring, this transaction will fail. I experienced this and I had to go into the settings and changed my maximum limit for foreign telegraphic transfer.
