How to set Desktop Background Slideshow - for your Financial Freedom Blueprints

I wrote an article about Financial Freedom Blueprint a few weeks ago which hopefully will keep me on track with the goals I have set. I wanted to be constantly reminded of my blueprints and find a better way to view them. Something which I can  help me to see them together with the action plans almost everyday. So I thought why not have them displayed in my laptop's Windows 10 background.  There is an option on Windows 10 which allows you to group a bunch of pictures to be used as your Desktop Background - like a Slideshow. This feature also allows background photos to be switched a a preset timing intervals (eg every one hour it will switch between different photos). Here is how. Before we begin, make sure to have your financial freedom blueprints created and saved into pdf format. If you have not done that, click on these links with the instructions on the blueprint creation and where to download it: Financial Freedom Blueprint Create a Financial Freedom Blueprint U...

Create a Financial Freedom Blueprint Using Google Sheet Template

In my previous article on Financial Freedom Blueprint , I wrote that using this Blueprint can be a powerful tool to help kickstart your action plans to achieve your financial goals. I also shared a Google Sheet template which I created to act like a template. You can get the Google Sheet template for the blueprint here: GOOGLE SHEET - FINANCIAL FREEDOM BLUEPRINT COPY Using this template can be difficult for some people as I created it based on my own understanding and I wanted to simplify the Blueprint creation through semi-automation. Most of the fields are quite straight forward and easy to fill, but some may will require more explanation from me. Anyway I will try to explain as much as I can. Feel free to copy this google sheet into your own Google Drive account and make any modifications that you may like. I will have a few sheets. You will only need to make changes to one sheet that is BLUEPRINT PLANNING . The other sheets we do not need to touch. I will have 7 rows. Each No...

Financial Freedom Blueprint

Just last weekend I was invited to join a free webinar organized by Sean Seah about creating a Financial Freedom Blueprint. Sean Seah is well-known as Value Investing Guru from Singapore and I was a student of his when I joined his Value Investing Course back in 2015. He also generated quite a buzz on YouTube when he was doing the ONE PUNCH MAN workout and even appeared on Men's Health magazine after transforming his body (you can check out the article here ). You can find his recorded webinar on Financial Freedom Blueprint here . His Financial Freedom Blueprint looks more like a combination of Vision Board and Action Plan all rolled into one. Let's say you have a Goal  - To achieve financial freedom and create multiple streams of income. Under this Goal, you can have sub-goals or individual projects : -Make $100K in Stock Market -Generate $10K per month through Course Creation - Generate $10K income per month through Property Rental Income. For Each of these projects , yo...

Importance of Having Life Insurance During Retirement

Right now I am typing with just one hand as I'm unable to move my other hand. Definitely not so easy to type on the keyboard with just one hand so I will keep this post as short as possible. On 12.12.2020 (right after 12am...) I slipped in my bathroom, fell hard on the edge and fractured my upper left arm (the part called humerus). I remember seeing my left upper arm snapped into half (that memory still haunts me until today) and the excruciating pain from the fracture was unbearable, I almost fainted thrice. I was brought into the emergency ward, they took an x-ray and was told I had to undergo a surgery else I will never ever be able to move and use my left arm again. Here's the x-ray they took on that day: Now I am recuperating at home after my surgery. My final hospital bill came to $20,000, including the 4 nights stay, operation, etc etc (itemized billing was like 5 pages long!). Fortunately, I was able to claim from my employer's medical insurance. That got me to rea...

Write yourself a Million Dollar check

A few years back, a friend of mine shared me a video of Jim Carrey's interview about how he struggled as a young actor long before his breakout role in the Ace Ventura movie. He was quite broke financially but he had a strong belief that he would one day make it although he didn't have much money while trying to survive in Hollywood. During this difficult time in his life he wrote himself a check -  $10 million  and dated it for Thanksgiving 1995. He put that in is wallet believing that one day he will make this much money and worked hard for it. The rest is basically history and he was paid $10 million for the movie Dumb and Dumber before Thanksgiving 1995. This also reminded me the second Habit in Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Begin With the End in Mind. Basically this means using your mind to envision and visualize your end goal and what you want to achieve in life . Jim Carrey's story was so inspiring to me that I created my own $1-mill...

The Money JAR System

Recently I wrote an article about the different levels of  FiRE   and how I learned about the MONEY JAR SYSTEM after I attending T. Harv Eker's Millionaire Mindset seminar . To check out that article click here . I am going to write about the Money JAR System and how I have been using it since 2010 to slowly grow my wealth. Bear in mind that this system is not easy to follow but if you are able to implement it in your daily lifestyle, it is a POWERFUL tool to save money and track your monthly expenses. Doing so will quickly help you to achieve FiRE . What is the Money Jar System?  It is basically a way to separate your income into different categories which T Harv Eker calls them Jars. You will allocate a certain fixed percentage from your net income and place them into these Jars.   Harv Eker also covered the MONEY JAR System in his book " Secrets of the Millionaire Mind ", where he has a complete chapter on this. You can also read the book to learn more abou...

What are the Different Levels of FiRe ?

FiRe (Financial Independence / Retire Early)  is a movement where a person has to adopt to a certain lifestyle with the goal of gaining Financial Independence and Retiring Early. I only got to know of this movement a few years ago after watching a video on Graham Stephen's Youtube channel.  Just like Graham Stephen, I started adapting a frugal and savings lifestyle when I was young but there wasn't a name for this until  Fi/Re  was made famous. I got serious about Saving To Retire Early about 10 years ago after attending T Harv Eker's Millionaire Mindset seminar . I learned about the JAR system from the seminar and I have been practicing it without fail for the past 10 years. I am proud to say this has helped me tremendously to achieve my financial freedom goal. T Harv Eker has a book called " Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth " which I highly recommend.  I wrote an article about the Money JAR System which you can read by c lic...
